Hi all! Welcome back to the blog! I hope you're doing well. I love February because it's not the first month of the new year anymore and we're getting somewhat closer to spring! The sun really starts to come out more during this time of the year, and that's an automatic mood booster for me! I also feel like this month is also all about spreading love and kindness too which is something I love ;) Oftentimes, we focus on showing love to others and being loving towards our friends and family, but being able to show love and care for others really starts with ourselves. A huge part of why I started my blog was to inspire you to take care of yourself through the power of self-love and being kind to yourself. We feel more positive, happy, and honestly less stressed when we love ourselves. When we spend more energy towards appreciating and accepting ourselves, we have more good energy to share with the world! So, for this week's post, I wanted to share a few ways to practice self-love this month through small acts of self-care! These small tips can be incorporated into your every day because showing ourselves love should be something that we make time for each day!
My Self-Care Tips to Love Yourself:
♡ Do something that brings you happiness and joy
♡ Unplug and give your mind a sufficient break
♡ Show compassion to yourself and be understanding
♡ Repeat positive affirmations that make you feel good :)
♡ Spend more time outside and in the sun!
♡ Say no to things that don't serve you
♡ Make decisions for yourself
♡ Treat yourself to your favorite drink
♡ Where an outfit that you really love
♡ Pamper yourself
♡ Book a workout class with a friend or a family member
♡ Surround yourself with people who bring you good vibes
♡ Try to avoid speaking negatively to yourself
♡ Avoid comparing yourself to others
♡ Listen to your OG feel-good music
These are a few ways I like to show myself some love on a daily. How we look at ourselves and treat ourselves significantly impacts how we feel each day. So, practicing self-love allows me to feel more good energy and happiness that I can share with others! What I really love about self-care is that it allows us to practice self-love because caring for ourselves is automatically showing love to ourselves.
