Tea has forever been my favorite beverage. Not only is it a relaxing and comforting drink full of healthy properties, but I find that all teas are just delicious with their unique tastes! Did you know that drinking a variety of teas can help with sleep, digestion, energy, detox, and more health benefits for the body? After school, I would always enjoy sipping on a warm cup of herbal tea to relax and feel calmer while doing my work. For this post, I'm sharing 4 of my favorite herbal teas that are extremely calming, and are good for helping stress.
Chamomile Tea
When I endured a lot of anxiety not too long ago, chamomile tea really helped calm, relax me, and soothe my nervous system. This tea is also great to drink before sleeping because it really helps with de-stressing. Chamomile is also believed to be anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and it's also really good for digestion, especially after a heavy meal. So, how could you go wrong with this delicious and nutritious drink?
Passionflower Tea
The passionflower herb is generally used to help relieve anxiety and help with sleep. Factually, it increases the levels of GABA in the brain, which stands for gamma-aminobutyric which helps with relaxation. And that's exactly what I love about this tea! It's perfect for promoting good sleep and calming those nerves if you've found yourself anxious lately.
Valerian Root Tea
Valerian, the flowering root is extremely good for helping with relaxation and reducing anxiety. So, why not enjoy these calming benefits as a tea?
Hibiscus Tea
Hibiscus tea provides the body with a more relaxed sensation and has calming effects. It's also full of antioxidants, vitamin C, and helps boost the immune system!
