6 Self-Care Ideas For November

Happy November! Wow, 2021 has gone by so quickly and I can't believe we're almost at the end of the year! I feel like a new season means setting new goals and intentions. For me, I'm making it a goal to integrate self-care into my day every single day, and to do something that makes me happy on a daily basis :) For today's post, I'm sharing a couple of self-care ideas for the new month to take care of your mind and body.

Lean into your feminine energy

Feminine energy is sweet, creative energy centered around going with the flow. I love to lean into my feminine energy by pampering myself, doing my hair, having a nice skincare routine, lighting a candle, getting my nails done, or dressing well. All of these things automatically make me feel so good, and honestly, it impacts the way I feel mentally.

Spend time with family & friends

I love spending time with family and friends, and just sharing some laughter because it makes me so happy. Socializing is indeed good for your mind and body. Even though you may be busy, prioritize time to spend with those who bring out the light in you! And that can even include spending some time with your dog. Believe it or not, but dogs have been proven to boost serotonin!

Watch a comforting tv show/movie or listen to music

Sometimes all we need is a little bit of comfort. I love to relax by just watching a comforting show. Lately, I've been enjoying lifestyle & wellness youtube videos. Also, listening to some comforting music makes me feel so much calmer when I feel that I need that. For me, that's definitely some good background jazz :) Other days, when I need a boost of energy, or when I'm in a good mood, I love jamming to some 80s music or pop!

Practice your hobbies

We all have something that makes us happy. It might be writing, cooking, dancing, singing, drawing, knitting, playing an instrument... Self-care for me is definitely doing more of what makes me happy on a daily basis, such as blogging, or playing with my dog, or creating mantra social media content, or singing a song that I love. So what I'm trying to say is that whatever decently brings you joy and happiness, then do more of that :)

Practice gratitude daily

I'm telling you, that power that gratitude has to positively change the way that we feel is quite amazing. And it's so easy to make gratitude a part of your daily routine. When you wake up in the morning, think about something that you're feeling grateful for. And it can really be anything. Like waking up to another fall day, or sleeping well the night before. I recently started using the Five Minute Journal for daily use, and it has allowed me to appreciate the smallest things in life. You truly will become so much more positive if you integrate the practice of thinking about whom or what you are thankful for today. And with that in mind, November is the month of gratitude with Thanksgiving coming up soon!

Change things up

Recently I changed up the way that my room looks, and decluttered it a little bit which truly brought me some happiness. I added in some new decor, and honestly just changing things up just feels good. Whenever you feel a little overwhelmed or anxious, I highly recommend organizing and just tidying, or in this case, moving things around in your house. You want to try to create the most comfortable environment for yourself. Since it's November, think about adding in some new fall decor, or some neutral colors into your home!

Take care of yourself, and have a beautiful week in November!
