Life can sometimes throw things at you without you even knowing, which may be anxiety-provoking situations. Anxiety can be prolonged or you can really feel it at the moment. When I struggled with chronic anxiety a few months ago, the cortisol level in my body was insanely high and it was affecting me physically.
I was introduced to essential oils and really started to use them to relax and to bring the cortisol back to a neutral level. Just the use of aromatherapy was so incredibly therapeutic and calming for my mind, body, and soul.
Peppermint and lavender essential oil is specifically good if you're struggling with stress at the moment. My favorite is the Peppermint Halo by Saje Wellness which I have linked on my "Shop" page! It really just opens me up and relaxes my nerves. Just take it out of convenience, deeply inhale, exhale, and you will feel the biggest difference. It's literally like, the aroma went through your nose, up to your brain, and all the way down your body to your feet. And it signaled that you physically and mentally need to feel calmer. The use of essential oils is one of the easiest products to use if you're feeling stressed.
Also, interestingly enough, but every time that I inhale an essential oil, I feel like I'm more present and am more aware of the here and now. Scientifically, every time you inhale the aroma of essential oil, your central nervous system is stimulated, and with that comes your emotional responses being activated, which cause feelings of happiness, relaxation, more zen, and calmer states in the mind and body. Even though the inhalation of essential oils will not cure anxiety, they do have a significant impact on lowering the levels of stress that you may be experiencing.
