Feeling Overworked Lately? Here Are Some Tips to Feel Calmer and More Grounded.

I don't know about you, but during this time of the year, I have a lot packed on. My school will tend to get busier, and that means that at times, my stress levels will rise. For today's post, I'm sharing some tips to help feel more relaxed when you've been overworked and just need to feel more grounded and at a greater sense of peace.

Create an organized system for yourself

I don't know about you, but I'm definitely guilty of putting too much stuff on my to-do list on certain days, and that's when I get so overwhelmed. I'm someone who needs organization to feel calm, and planners definitely help me with that. With a planner, I'm able to spread my work out amongst the week and prioritize what needs to be done each day. That way, if I see that I've put too much on for one day, then I can ask myself, is there another day this can be done? Is it really a priority for today? Shortening your to-do list a little bit at a time through the use of prioritization will really help you feel at more ease, and definitely less stressed. Also, I highly recommend using a planner to plan your week out because it will help you get through the week in a more relaxed state.

Establish a routine to relax and unwind

To prevent excessive stress, it's really important to make self-care a priority for yourself. I recommend creating a self-care routine in the evenings to help with feeling calm and to focus on taking care of your mental health. Setting aside time at the end of my day to just relax makes me feel much more grounded during a hectic day/week. For me, this is taking the time for a nice skincare routine, watching my favorite comfort show (good witch), enjoying a warm meal with family, and writing a blog post or creating some social media content, because even though I consider that work, it still makes me feel happy and calm!

Integrate breaks into your daily schedule

It's so crucially important to take breaks throughout your working day, in order to prevent feeling overworked. I know that I need a break when I sense that I'm a little stressed or just feel like I need a pause. Some ways that I enjoy taking a break include just getting up from the desk, stretching out my muscles, and practicing a hobby. Make taking breaks a part of your schedule and you will feel so much calmer throughout the day, and less overworked at the end of it.

I hope you have a relaxing weekend and a beautiful upcoming week. Continue to take care of your mental health and keep a positive mindset.

Esha
