A Few Self-Care Practices to Instantly Boost Your Mood When Feeling Low Vibes

Hi everyone! Welcome back to the blog! For this week's post, I wanted to share a few of my go-to tips to help uplift yourself when you're feeling down. We're all human and let's face it, we all have those days where we're just not feeling like ourselves. We might be feeling a little out of it, and just less happy than normal, which is totally okay. But, I like to say that self-care is doing what we can to make ourselves feel better, and more uplifted :) Read below for a few of my go-to self-care practices to help uplift my spirits when I'm feeling a little down:

1) Listen to Feel-Good Music

What would we do without music!? Music truly has the power to lift our spirits and turn our moods around. When you're feeling down, put on your favorite feel-good playlist and you'll automatically feel some good energy come your way. Whether it's an upbeat tune that gets you dancing or soulful melodies that resonate with your emotions, music seriously can work wonders in shifting your mood. Sing along, dance like nobody's watching, and feel the joy flow back into your heart.

2) Organize and Clean Up Your Space

I know that for me, a cluttered space leads to a cluttered mind. When I'm feeling low vibrational energy, I like to take some time to declutter and tidy up my living space. The act of organizing and cleaning not only provides a sense of accomplishment but also creates a more peaceful and calm environment for me. I like to tidy up my desk, or my closet once in a while, and I automatically feel that mental clarity and renewed sense of energy. So, if you find yourself feeling a little down, just organize anything. Trust me, you'll automatically feel a little bit better :)

3) Take Some Me Time

Something that never fails to uplift my spirits when I'm feeling down is taking some me-time. Sometimes, when you're feeling down, all you really need is some time just for yourself. Take a sufficient break from your routine, find a cozy spot, and indulge in some much-needed "me time." I enjoy reading a book, writing a blog post, making myself a warm cup of tea or coffee, taking a long bath, or simply sitting quietly with my thoughts. Having this time for ourselves truly allows us to recharge and refresh, and sometimes that's what we truly need to feel better.

4) Spending Time With Your Pet

If you have a pet, you know the feeling of just having them to uplift your spirits when you're feeling down. But I'm telling you, there's nothing that uplifts me more than just spending time with my dog when I'm feeling a little bit of low vibes. Just the comfort that my dog provides is so warm and it brings me so much happiness. So, if you do have a pet, the next time you feel a little down, go spend some time with them, and you'll automatically feel better :)

5) Engage in a Creative Outlet

For me, engaging in a creative activity can be incredibly therapeutic. I've always felt that creativity offers an escape from my daily stressors and allows me to tap into my inner child-like joy. And trust me, you don't need to be a master artist; the process of creating itself is what has the greatest effect on how we feel. Whether you enjoy painting, writing, knitting, or any other form of creative expression, it feels so good to just unleash your imagination sometimes. So, when you find yourself feeling a little bit down, dive into a creative activity of any sort and see where it takes you :)

6) Put On a Good Outfit

If there is something that automatically makes me feel better when I'm feeling a little down, it's putting on an outfit that I love and feel confident in. I'm a firm believer that sometimes looking good and getting ready directly correlates to how we feel. And I know that sometimes when we're feeling a little bit down, it can be hard to put on a nice outfit and feel good, but just do it. Trust me, you'll feel so much better. Just putting on that outfit that you love will lift your spirits and bring you so much good energy and good vibes!

Remember, it's okay to have days when you're feeling down. Emotions are a natural part of being human. The key is to acknowledge and honor your feelings while taking positive steps to uplift yourself. So, the next time you find yourself in a low mood, try these simple yet effective techniques to bring back the spark into your life. Take good care, and remember to always prioritize self-care and self-love.
