My Latest Favorite Fall Self-Care

Happy fall! I don't know about you, but fall just makes me so happy! It's the season of beautiful colors, warm beverages, and delicious treats! For today's blog post, I'm sharing some of my latest favorite self-care for the new season that I like to practice daily! šŸ‚ šŸ

I've really gotten into yoga, which is so great for mental and physical health. Yoga helps ground me in the present moment and take my attention off of anything that isn't serving me, like having anxiety and stress. There's nothing better than a relaxing flow :) I've been into doing a yoga flow before sleeping, or in the morning before school. I have a blog post all about my yoga practice, but I will generally listen to my body and what it's asking for.

I recently started using the Five Minute Journal and I have been loving it! This is a prompt journal that is meant for both the day and night. For the morning journaling, you're asked to write three things that you are feeling grateful for, what would make the day a great one, and some daily affirmations. At night, you write three things that we're amazing today, and how you could've made the day even better. This journal has brought already so much more positivity, and gratitude into my life! I've linked it on the self-care shop!

I've also really been into the use of essential oils to help relax and de-stress, to enhance my mental wellbeing. I have a blog post just on essential oils as well so go check it out! My favorite is the Saje Peppermint Halo by Saje Wellness, also linked on my self-care shop!

Also, taking breaks and being gentler on myself have helped me so much with stress. After a long day of school, I give myself time to just unwind, have a snack, and watch some relaxing TV to signal to my brain that I need rest. Giving myself that time to not focus on work is so beneficial to take care of my overall health and wellness. Also, I've been just being less hard on myself. I can tend to get anxious when I'm putting pressure on myself that just doesn't serve me. Providing myself with the grace I need, and being kind to myself makes me feel so much better, and does help alleviate stress.

To just boost my serotonin level, I love to listen to some good music that instantly makes me feel so much better! Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll choose the music that I want to listen to. Sometimes, I'll put on some jazz music in the mornings to create a calm space, or if I need some more energy, I'll listen to some upbeat music!

Something else that I have been loving to help release stress is my nighttime routine to help me relax and feel calm. Go check out my blog post on my nighttime routine where I thoroughly outline what I do to help myself get a good night's rest.

Drinking tea is self-care for me too! Treating myself to a warm cup of tea after school or before sleeping is so calming and relaxing. I'd have to say that I love all teas, but lately, my favorites have been herbal and masala chai, which is the perfect fall beverage! I've linked some of my favorite teas on the self-care shop, so go check it out! Also, sometimes with tea, I love to have a delicious fall treat! Maybe some apple treats or something pumpkin spice :)

Remember to take care of yourself, and prioritize taking care of your mental health. Have a beautiful rest of the week!

Smile, breath and go slowly,

Esha
