Hi, welcome back to the blog! How have you been? Lately, I've been really putting importance on my mental health and just making sure that I'm feeling good mentally. Especially during this time of the year, I tend to feel a little more stressed due to the start of a new school year, so taking the time for self-care each day has been really good for my mental well-being. I'm super excited for this fall season that might already be in the air ;) With the fall season comes a lot of coziness and comfort! Ever since I struggled with anxiety, I've really come to terms with the fact that it's so important to enjoy the little joys of life more. It's okay to pause each day and just do something that brings more light into your lives. Maybe it's a hobby that you love, or it's listening to some feel-good music, or maybe it’s hanging out with a friend. The small acts of self-care really do make life so much more joyful and happiness filled! So for fall, I've come up with a short and sweet of course self-care bucket list to make this season a little more fun :) Because to me, self-care sometimes looks like doing things that bring more joy into our everyday lives.
+ Enjoy a warm beverage that brings you feel-good vibes
+ Re-watch your go-to comfort show (mine for the fall is Gilmore Girls!)
+ Take a leisurely walk outside just to soak up the air and nature
+ Spend more time with your family or friends
+ Read something that you're interested in (perhaps a blog - one of my faves is The Every Girl!)
+ Try a fall-themed food (I definetly want to have butternut squash soup this season!)
+ Find a hobby that interests you and practices it daily
+ Get a fresh manicure with a fall-themed color
+ Go to a local pumpkin patch (this is truly one of my favorite parts of the season!)
+ Light candles in your space for some more coziness (maybe one that smells like fall!)
+ Do a creative activity of some sort
+ Practice more acts of kindness & gratitude each day
+ Have more cozy nights in (they’re truly the best!)
+ Find a good book to read (I’ve been loving this devotional book that brings more light into my life.)
+ Try listening to a new podcast
+ Do some volunteering that makes you feel good
+ Try a Starbucks fall drink :)
This self-care fall bucket list of mine is a good mix of spending time with others while getting in some “me-time”, pampering ourselves, doing small joyful activities, and really just soaking in the beauty of this season! I hope that you try a few of these items this season and remember to enjoy it! I know that we all live such busy lives each day but remember it’s also important to just make time to do things that bring us joy. Take good care of yourself, and I’ll catch you back on the blog next time!
