My Winter Wardrobe Essentials for That Cozy-Chic Style

Welcome back to the blog! I hope that you've been enjoying February! It honestly has flown by! This winter, I've been living in my "cozy chic" wardrobe, perfect for the extremely cold days when I still want to look cute, you know?! I draw a lot of my wardrobe inspiration from J. Crew, Ralph Lauren, and of course, Nancy Meyers movies! So, for this week's blog post, I wanted to share a few ways I'm embodying that cozy chic look, filled with cozy sweaters, neutrals, ballet flats, puffers, and accessories of course!

Chunky neutral sweaters

This winter, I've been living in my chunky sweaters. I love thick turtleneck sweaters, or just cozy oversized sweaters for the winter. Look for those neutral-colored sweaters, like navy, cream, white, or even some pastels, because we could all use a little pop of color! A huge part of how I embody the cozy chic look is by pairing a cozy sweater with some light-colored jeans. I feel like light-colored denim gives off that more relaxed, chill look. But, I easily bring chicness to the look by adding a belt or some fun gold earrings!

Ballet flats

My go-to shoe this winter has hands down been ballet flats. And it's not because they were trending for a little bit, okay maybe just a little. But seriously, ballet flats easily make you look chic, and if you find the right ones, they can be a comfy shoe choice as well! I used to be such a sneakers girl, but now I'm truly a ballet flats girl. They can be worn with literally anything, and you dress them up with trousers or silk pants or you can dress them down with a good pair of jeans! I love my Tory Burch Cap Toe Flats and highly recommend them if you're looking for a good, affordable pair!

Accessorizing with jewelry

I feel like an outfit is never complete without jewelry! One of the ways I make my cozy chic look unique is by wearing my favorite pieces of jewelry! Generally, I like to keep it minimal, but I feel like a staple that always jazzes up my outfit is a pair of fun gold hoops! I highly recommend Jennifer Fisher for good-quality gold earrings. I've been loving their Triple Lilly earings as a true statement pair that always makes my outfit more fun!

Versatile belts

A no-brainer for that cozy chic look is hands down a good belt. I love pairing a brown or black belt with a neutral-colored sweater, some jeans, and of course ballet flats for a relaxed yet put-together look. I feel like belts bring that level of structure and sophistication to an outfit which I love. I'm currently obsessed with my J.Crew Belt that I pretty much wear almost every day. I love wearing my go-to darker brown belt with navy or beige sweaters and light-wash jeans for that ultimate cozy chic look!

Puffer coat

A great puffer can pull your whole winter look together while keeping you warm and toasty. I've found neutral colors like cream, or black are most versatile and pair beautifully with both casual and dressier pieces. I love to layer my puffer over a chunky sweater and add those ballet flats we talked about earlier for that instant cozy chic! Don't forget to accessorize your outerwear too - a sleek bag for work or school and those gold hoops we love can take even the puffiest coat from purely practical to perfectly put-together.

And those are a few of my winter essentials for that cozy chic to feel comfortable and stylish at the same time! Because who doesn't need both?! look I hope you have a beautiful week, and remember to take good care of yourself. And if you've been feeling those winter blues, remember that March is literally this weekend which means that spring is around the corner!!

Esha
