Taking Breaks Are Productive

Taking breaks from doing work is crucial to our overall wellness. The burnout is real and it's so important that you take some time to step away from the desk, and just do something that's good for your mind and(or) body, to re-energize and de-stress. I know from personal experience that when I work for too long, I start getting super stressed, and anxious and it's not okay for my mental health. When I had extreme anxiety, I would resist taking breaks because they made me more anxious as I would delay my work even further. But in fact, taking time to just do something that makes you happy or practicing self-care in the middle of working will un-crowd your mind tremendously. I know I need a break when I feel that my mind and body are feeling overwhelmed. Below, I'm sharing a couple of my latest favorite ways to take breaks while I'm working:

Write a blog post / free write

Listen to music

Listen to a podcast

Watch a calming TV show (My favorite right now is Good Witch :)

Stretch

Spend time with family

Have a snack

Play with my dog

Look outside my window

Take a walk

Deep breathing

Drink some water

Sip on some herbal tea

Do some yoga

Journal

Take care of yourself,

Esha
