Welcome back to the blog! I hope you've all been having a lovely week and finding time to care for yourselves. I'm honestly so shocked at how February is already here! January went by so slowly and fast simultaneously, you know? Anyway, for this week's blog post, I was inspired by my sister to write about what "wearing jewelry means to me." I'm such a fashion girly, and there's so much purpose and meaning in fashion: getting dressed up and putting my accessories on for the day. Anyone who knows me 100% knows I'm never seen without wearing my jewelry. It brings me a special feeling, and you may feel that, too! So, I want to get into that for this week's post and how jewelry, as an aspect of fashion, can be a form of self-care for ourselves.

Ever since I got into fashion, which was honestly 3 years ago, I've always been that girl who stacks the jewelry on. You know, the girl wears layers of bracelets, necklaces, chunky earrings, and rings. I'm that girl. But there's a reason why this part of fashion has always been a constant for me. There's a reason why I always make time to put all of my favorite jewelry on. For starters, it just brings me comfort. If you know, you know. There's something so comforting and warming that gold jewelry brings me explicitly. For instance, every day, I wear an evil eye bracelet, which symbolizes the voiding of evil and just embodying good spirits. Wearing my jewelry for me is the good energy and reassurance it brings me. I consider myself somewhat spiritual, and when I put on my jewelry stacks and layers for the day, I embody more positive energy. I think the color gold brings me warmth, almost like a hug from a loved one. So, that's one of the reasons why I love accessorizing as a part of fashion and as a part of my "getting dressed routine" daily.
Secondly, I feel like putting on my jewelry pieces is an act of self-care. A huge reason why I started getting into fashion a few years ago was because of how it made me feel. It made me feel happier, better, more confident, and ready for the day. And that's what self-care does for us. So, I genuinely think that no outfit is complete without the jewelry. Without the pieces that you love, the pieces that you truly can't leave the house without. Otherwise, you feel incomplete, you know? So, jewelry, to me, is a part of getting ready each day and the process of putting on an outfit that I love that expresses my style and who I am. And there's something in the ritual of putting on my jewelry for the day, like getting dressed in a feel-good outfit, that uplifts my spirits and makes me feel so much more confident. I feel like in life, there are things we can do that help make us feel like ourselves, and that to me is putting on my rings, bracelets, and my favorite gold earrings. It makes me feel put together and reflects my style!
There's something so special about putting on my favorite pieces each morning, especially my gold jewelry. It's like this little ritual that makes me feel more me, you know? Whether it's my evil eye bracelet for protection or the stacked rings that make me feel put-together, wearing jewelry hits differently. It's not about the bling (okay, maybe just a little bit) but about feeling confident, comfortable, and ready to take on whatever the day throws me!
I hope you have a beautiful week, and don't forget to wear your favorite jewelry pieces this week!
Xo,
Esha
